This is a very nice and unique beach. It is commonly called an island of freedom and peace because it is not usually noisy and crowded. Tarkwa bay is an artificial sheltered beach located near the Lagos harbor. Due to its island status, it is only accessible by boat or water taxis. Tarkwa bay has been in existence since around 1960. The idea of it being an island away from the land makes it exciting.
